Youth Empowerment

CDI believes that an empowered youth can create a huge impact in the community. Therefore, CDI advocates for the rights of young people aged 15 to 35 years through capacity building and creating awareness. CDI ensures that the voice of all youth in the society are heard and taken into consideration.

The youth are agents to change in the community. We work on building capacity and raising awareness of youth-related policies.

CDI’s Role

CDI identifies the challenges that youth face and then works towards addressing these challenges. We, also, emphasize opportunities for the youth to enable them to be empowered. CDI ensures that the voice of all youth in the society are heard and taken into consideration.

Organized Activities:

Livelihood and employment: Supporting and advising youth on wealth building.

This is through joining and establishing Microfinance groups such as SACCOS and Youth Enterprise Groups (YEG). The youth can access financial capital, through these groups, which helps them in generating employment and creating sustainable businesses. This activity is in its proposal stage, currently and shall be implemented once we have obtained sufficient funding.
