Youth Empowerment

CDI believes that an empowered young girls can create a huge impact in the community. Therefore, CDI advocates for the rights of young girls aged 15 to 25 years through capacity building and creating awareness. CDI ensures that the voice of all girls in the society are heard and taken into consideration.

young people are agents to change in the community specifically for gender based violence. We work on building capacity and raising awareness of women -related policies. 

Young girls

Young girls are also victims of poverty, which exposes them to risk behavior. The organization under this theme will empower and support girls to access opportunities, which will enable them, engage in profitable income generating ventures. Provision of relevant skills and initial capital will compose main interventions under this direction.

Organized Activities:

Livelihood and employment: Supporting and advising youth on wealth building.

This is through joining and establishing Microfinance groups such as SACCOS and Youth Enterprise Groups (YEG). The youth can access financial capital, through these groups, which helps them in generating employment and creating sustainable businesses. This activity is in its proposal stage, currently and shall be implemented once we have obtained sufficient funding.
